No. Electric bikes and mopeds require much less maintenance, because there are fewer moving parts and use a much cleaner fuel, and therefore have much lower operating costs.

Read your owners manual, and become familiar with the features of the machine, and how to safely operate the machine.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. There is a manufacturers warranty.
MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY — The manufacturer offers a 30-day limited bumper-to-bumper warranty on most scooters and accessories. The warranty starts the day the scooter is purchased, picked up or delivered to you. This warranty covers factory defects and defaults only. We do not cover misuse or broken parts caused by the user or by any other event. The manufacturer will pay for standard shipping service costs on the first warranty shipment only. Any additional warranty parts that are needed will require payment for shipping costs.

Is my new EV, electric bike, or electric Moped eligible for the federal tax credit for electric vehicles?

A:

A federal tax credit of up to $2500.00 dollars or more is available. Check with your tax professional to see if your purchase will qualify for the tax credit.

What are my licensing requirements?

A:

Some states have no requirements, for example in Texas there is no drivers license, state registration, or insurance requirement to operate these vehicles. In other states there may be licensing requirements, so check with your states DMV.
